That has led Barcelona to be keen to extend Flick’s current deal. Which expires in the summer of 2026, with the clubs reportedly agreeing in principle to extend the German’s contract until 2027, with only the final details left to be worked out.

Barcelona are reportedly set to hold talks with Flick’s agent, Pini Zahavi to finalise the terms of a new deal. So the German can sign it ahead of Sunday’s Clasico clash with Real Madrid, with the club making an official announcement afterwards.
